A CBD pitch to get your friends in a VAAY mood

There are certain things that are guaranteed to make us more relaxed and bring a sense of ease to our lives. Starting the day off with sex, for example. Dancing around your flat to your favourite song. Or starting your summer holiday with a cool and refreshing dip in the ocean. Just imagine how great it would be if you could carry around your own personal calming agent in your pocket at all times.

Have you discovered just how perfect CBD is for you, and now you’d like to tell the whole world about it? Maybe there are some people in your life whom you suspect would love CBD in the same way you do – if only they knew about it? To help you out, we’ve compiled a few “best-of" arguments to use when persuading others to give CBD a try.

The problem – aka the pseudo-progressive productivity paradox

Feels like it was just yesterday that you were playing beer pong with your friends and going from one party to the next? And now, for some reason, all of your conversations revolve around cryptocurrencies? And your friends can’t stop telling you how many hours of overtime they put in?

The all-encroaching nature of adulthood-driven tension is everywhere. Indeed, the symptoms of this kind of angst tend to creep up on us without us noticing. One of the first is the trap of taking yourself too seriously, which often goes undetected for far too long. People who experience this kind of angst tend to sleep poorly and complain of back pain (there’s usually no place on their body that doesn’t hurt). What’s more, they give their friends the distinct impression that a premature midlife crisis is on its way.

And if you’re one of those friends, it’s time to take action if you see a friend reach this point. It’s time to step in and do what friends are supposed to do. You know the answer, we know the answer – so let’s start with the facts.

And the facts show that CBD might even help with the treatment of some diseases.

Facts first, experience second

One of the advantages of CBD – in contrast to THC, for example – is that you don’t have to worry about getting caught by the police, at least here in Germany (find out more about the current status of CBD legislation in other countries). And then there’s the fact that you don’t trip when on CBD – which can be either a positive or negative thing, depending on your perspective. Either way, it definitely means CBD is more suitable for everyday use.

You can also casually mention the importance of the human endocannabinoid systems – most people won’t know that each and every one of us actually makes our own cannabinoids, and they’ll probably be quite stunned to hear it.

The great thing about the potential effects of CBD on a person’s endocannabinoid system is that it regulates it, nothing more. In other words, CBD doesn’t knock you out, catapult you into a higher plain of consciousness or blast away your pain from one moment to the next. But what it can do is help your body to calm itself down over the long term.

CBD can have the following effects:

  • Fosters relaxation
  • Relaxes muscles
  • Relieves pain
  • Acts as an anti-inflammatory

Studies have shown that cannabidiol may even be effective against epilepsy, depression, migraines and headaches.

For more information on the risks and side-effects, ask your local neighbourhood CBD dealer. (But also read our article on what the reasons might be if CBD doesn’t work.)

But enough of the facts. As we all know, it’s our shared experiences that keep us connected. So why not simply share your VAAY experience with your friends? Let them try one of your CBD products – or maybe even try out a CBD recipe together.

Celebrities and CBD – A match made in heaven

We all need role models in our lives. But if your life isn’t enough of a shining example for your friends (are they blind?!), you might be more likely to impress them with a list of celebrities who are just as convinced of the benefits of CBD as you are – so convinced, in fact, that they’ve actually invested in our company:

  • Will.i.am
  • Stefanie Giesinger
  • Alyssa Milano
  • Klaas Heufer-Umlauf
  • Mario Götze
  • Dennis Aogo
  • Jonas Hummels

Why coming down is the new high

But what, exactly, is the return on the investment, you hear your astute friends asking?

Let’s put it this way: if coffee and cocaine are what keeps the rat race going (this is what we’ve been told, at least), then CBD has the potential to keep the treadmill from spinning out of control.

This somewhat bumpy metaphor aside, CBD has a very pleasant wellness factor and the potential to provide relief from a range of ailments – in other words, it can have an overall beneficial effect on the quality time in our lives. No matter whether you’re alone or with friends and family.

And all joking aside: there’s no question that everyone should decide for themselves whether they want to try CBD or not. But as you know, sharing is also caring – so feel free to share this article with your friends if you’re eager to introduce them to the benefits of CBD.
