However, at the latest since the approval and legalization of medical cannabis in several countries, prejudices and stigmas have been gradually reduced and could thus contribute to the boom. In Germany, by the way, medical cannabis may be prescribed since 2017. For thousands of years, the hemp plant cannabis has been used in natural medicine - its extracts were already appreciated by the ancient Chinese and Egyptians.

As a result, more and more products are coming onto the market and CBD oils are now available in abundance. Manufacturers produce CBD products in all forms and with a wide variety of ingredients. Even different flavors are offered, should the natural taste not fit the personal gusto.

CBD is a global trend today and we are asked more and more questions about the different CBD products and topics. For this reason, we want to give you an introduction and overview of CBD, CBD oil and related aspects below.

But before we turn to CBD oil, we must first clarify what CBD is. The abbreviation "CBD" stands for the term "cannabidiol", which is one of over 100 known cannabinoids. Like THC, the substance is also extracted from the hemp plant. If the THC content does not exceed 0.2%, CBD products can be offered and sold as cosmetics in Germany according to the current legal situation. In the production of CBD oil, useful hemp plants are used. The basis of cannabidiol oil is the CBD contained in hemp.

In addition, you can buy cannabidiol oils as broad spectrum or full spectrum oil. Both contain terpenes and flavonoids, which are valuable and natural components of the hemp plant, in addition to many other cannabinoids.

And that's not all: because our oils are also available as a practical CBD spray, as CBD drops or even as CBD massage oil.

By the way: CBD oil is not to be confused with hemp oil, which is more commonly found in the kitchen. The latter is pressed from hemp seeds and is often used as cooking oil - for example in salads. It is sometimes used as a carrier oil, to which CBD is then added to achieve the desired CBD content. THERE WAS SOMETHING: CBDA TO CBD

To actually have CBD, it's not too easy. The problem is that the cannabis plant (Cannabis Sativa) produces cannabidiol acid (CBDA) and not cannabidiol (CBD). CBDA therefore represents the precursor to CBD.

Now, in order to obtain CBD, CBDA, which is present as an acid, must first be activated and undergo a process called decarboxylation. In short, the acid group is broken down. What is left is the CBD.

The simplest and most effective way to do this is to heat it. At temperatures of around 100 °C, high-quality cannabidiol is produced with the help of CO₂ extraction.

Both broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD oil retain the chemical profile of the hemp plant used with the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and omega-3.

Broad-spectrum or full-spectrum oil?

The difference between broad-spectrum and full-spectrum oil is usually that the THC is almost completely removed from the broad-spectrum variant in a further process step during production. In high-quality products, this is done with the help of CO₂ extraction, which ensures the highest purity of the product.

FULL-SPECTRUM OILS AS RISK

One can also put it this way that full-spectrum oil contains all the ingredients of the whole plant, including a greater variety of cannabinoids and a naturally occurring THC content. This is usually above the 0.2% legally allowed in full-spectrum oil from commercial hemp. The problem with full-spectrum oil is also that it can cause a positive result in THC drug tests, even at low levels.

THE DECISIVE DISADVANTAGE OF FULL-SPECTRUM OIL: TOO HIGH THC CONTENT

another aspect of using a full-spectrum oil that should not be neglected is the fact that the final CBD content is not always predictable and depends very much on the hemp used. This makes it difficult to comply with guidelines for distribution in regular trade. Therefore, the use of full spectrum oil is more suitable for the medical field. That is why we only offer broad spectrum oil, which definitely has a low THC content of less than 0.2% and is therefore 100% legal! Full spectrum oil also has an influence on a potential entourage effect. However, the speed at which a potential effect occurs is determined by a number of factors, such as the dosage. However, how you deliver CBD to your body and how it absorbs it is often crucial. For example, one of the fastest and most effective ways is inhalation.

The terms "cannabis oil" and "CBD oil" are often confused, but they do not mean the same thing. Cannabis oil is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant and can contain large amounts of the psychoactive THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). This type of oil is therefore illegal in Germany. Even if it is presented inaccurately or even misleadingly on some websites: If it says somewhere that you can supposedly buy "cannabis oil" there, it is in fact CBD oil as a rule. The same goes for the term "cannabis spray": in reality, it is most likely the legal CBD spray with a THC content of less than 0.2%.

In short: 1) safety, 2) broad spectrum, full spectrum or isolate, 3) method of ingestion, 4) quality.

1) Probably the most important point when buying CBD oil online is safety: on the one hand, you want to be sure that what's in your CBD product is what's on it. And on the other hand, of course, you don't want anything in it that isn't written on it. HOW LONG IS CBD OIL DURABLE?

As a rule of thumb, CBD oil has a shelf life of about six months after opening the product. Unopened, it will keep for up to one year. However, this does not mean that the CBD oil must be disposed of afterwards. Often, only the taste changes to the negative.

HOW IS CBD OIL BEST STORED?

CBD oil is best distributed - as by VAAY - in opaque vials, since CBD is sensitive to light. It is also advisable to store it in a dark, cool place.
